Privacy Policy
Manga Viewer for macOS · Last updated: July 20, 2026
The app has no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no account system. Nothing is transmitted while you use the app. The only time data leaves your Mac is if you choose to send feedback, which opens a form in your browser.
Data Collection
Manga Viewer does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or usage data. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and it does not communicate with the developer's servers (it has none). The only outbound feature is the optional feedback form described below, which you must open and submit yourself.
Your Files
Manga Viewer is a local file viewer. The files you open (CBZ/ZIP, CBR/RAR, CB7/7z, CBT/TAR archives, PDFs, image files, and folders) are read directly from your Mac and are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere. The app can only access files and folders that you explicitly open, drag in, or select, as enforced by the macOS App Sandbox.
Data Stored on Your Device
The app stores a small amount of data locally on your Mac, solely to provide its features:
- Reading positions — so you can resume where you left off. These are stored as one-way hashes; file names and paths are never saved in readable form. You can disable this feature or erase all saved positions at any time in the app's Settings.
- Preferences — such as reading direction and display mode.
This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you remove the app and its container.
Feedback
The app's Settings include an optional Send Feedback to the Developer button. It does not send anything by itself — it opens a Google Form in your web browser, and nothing is transmitted unless you fill it in and submit it.
To save you from describing your setup, the form's "Environment info" field is pre-filled with the following technical details:
- App version and build number
- macOS version
- Mac model identifier (e.g.
Mac15,3) and CPU architecture - Your preferred system language
None of this identifies you personally, and you are free to edit or delete it before submitting. Anything else in your message is whatever you choose to write.
The form is hosted by Google, so submissions are processed and stored by Google on the developer's behalf, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Responses are used solely to investigate the issue and improve the app, and are never sold or shared.
Ratings and Reviews
The app may occasionally ask you to rate it, using Apple's standard system prompt. This is handled entirely by macOS — the developer does not learn whether you were asked, whether you responded, or what you rated. Reviews you write are published through the App Store under whatever name your Apple Account displays.
In-App Purchases (Tips)
Optional tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's standard In-App Purchase system. The developer does not receive your name, payment details, or any other personal information from these transactions. For details, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a revised date. Since the app collects no data, changes are unlikely.
